Dan Rudolph died last night.

He was diagnosed with ALS and his health has
been fragile for some time.

Dan was a brilliant ergodic theorist with tremendous generosity
of spirit. If you knew Dan and would like to send condolences
to his wife Michelle, we are sure she would appreciate
them. Her address is 301 Ridgewood Court, Fort
Collins, Colorado 80524.

Michelle was asked what anyone could do. She said
that Dan would have wanted people to donate money
to relief for the suffering in Haiti.

The April conference scheduled in Dan's honor on the
occasion of his 60th birthday will now be held in his honor in
memoriam,
