<div style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:14px">El Ministerio de Educación y Cultura continúa los festejos por los 190 años de la visita del naturalista inglés Charles Darwin al Río de la Plata, con el propósito de celebrar la ciencia, redescubrir la importancia de Uruguay en investigaciones mundiales e inspirar a nuevas generaciones.<br>
<br>
La muestra “Darwin estuvo aquí. 190 años de su viaje en Uruguay”, que ya recorrió Maldonado, Canelones, Colonia y Soriano, inaugurará el <strong>jueves 16 de marzo</strong> a las <strong>17 h </strong>en el <strong>Museo Nacional de Historia Natural</strong> (Miguelete 1825), Montevideo.<br>
<br>
Además de la muestra, que recrea el pasaje del naturalista inglés por Uruguay entre 1832 y 1833 a través de tres ejes temáticos: la Ciencia antes de Darwin, Darwin en Uruguay y la Ciencia después de Darwin; se presentará el tráiler del audiovisual de ficción "El regreso de Darwin"; la exposición "El viaje que cambió la ciencia" en la fotogalería a cielo abierto del Espacio de Arte Contemporáneo, y se realizarán las charlas “Una teoría que cambió la forma de entender el mundo" y "Un naturalista inquieto en Uruguay", a cargo de Bettina Tassino y Leo Lagos.<br>

Las celebraciones por el 190.° aniversario de Darwin en Uruguay comenzaron en setiembre de 2022, con la colaboración de Ceibal, Programa de Desarrollo de las Ciencias Básicas (Pedeciba), Facultad de Ciencias, DLR Films y del Centro de Fotografía de Montevideo; y el apoyo de los gobiernos departamentales de Canelones, Colonia, Maldonado, Montevideo, Lavalleja, Río Negro, San José y Soriano. </span><br>
