    Abstract submissions are now being accepted for the second
    International International Women in Science Without Borders, which
    will be held 21-23 March 2018 in Johannesburg, South Africa. <br>
    <br>
    The conference will focus on the role women play in influencing
    positive outcomes within the science, technology, engineering and
    mathematics (STEM) ecosystem as, amongst others, thought leaders and
    mentors, researchers, educators and policy makers. <br>
    <br>
    The conference organizers aim to provide funding for travel and/or
    accommodation to deserving delegates. Priority will be given to
    delegates from Africa and other developing countries with emphasis
    on supporting early to mid-career female researchers.<br>
    <br>
    The conference will span 3-days that will include high-level plenary
    speakers including OWSD President Jennifer Thomson, panel
    discussions on challenges in STEM research such as the gender gap,
    funding, work-life balance, along with technical presentation
    sessions. All contributed presentations will undergo peer-review
    prior to being accepted.<br>
