*2024 IDM theme and celebrating in the classroom*

The 2024 IDM theme is “Playing with Math”.

You just discovered the theme at the last minute?  No problem if it is too
late to organize a big celebration.  You can just decide to make a special
event in your classroom, for instance by using some of the material

proposed on the website. In particular, the Art Gallery Problem is so rich
that it can be interesting from secondary level to university level. A new
activity on Math Games presents several variants of the classical game of
Nim, the Ultimate tic-tac-toe, and the general problem of placing chess
queens on polyominos.

This virtual IDM 2024 Webinar will take place at 13:00 UTC on March 14,
2024, with the theme: “*Playing with Mathematics for Society*

It is organized jointly by UNESCO, IDM, IMU and the International Decade of

announcement in your community and to university students.
