Subject: UNESCO proclaims March 14 as the International Day of Mathematics
To:

Dear CWM ambassadors
The proclamation of March 14 as the International Day of Mathematics (IDM)
is wonderful news for the mathematical community.

Thanks in particular to Christiane Rousseau, the driving force behind the
project, gender balance and visibility of girls and women in math is a
priority of IDM, as can been seen clearly on the website
https://www.idm314.org/
Moreover, several organizations for women in mathematics are listed among
IDM supporters.

We encourage you to disseminate the good news and get actively involved in
the celebrations of the first year, and the years to come

Cheers,

Marie-Francoise Roy, Carolina Araujo and Betul Tanbay
