Asunto: School and one day ergodic theory meeting at Loughborough, UK
Para: dynamics en lists.ictp.it
Dear colleagues,
This is a preliminary announcement for a school on 'smooth ergodic
theory and partially hyperbolic systems' which will take place at
Loughborough from 15-18 April 2019. We will also have a one day
ergodic theory meeting on 17 April in the afternoon
Lectures in the school are delivered by:
Jose Alves (Porto),
Course title: SRB measures and inducing schemes
Ian Melbourne (Warwick)
Course title: Lorenz attractors and singular hyperbolic flows
Sylvain Crovisier (Paris Sud)
Course title: Introduction to partially hyperbolic dynamics
Problem sessions will be delivered by Marks Ruziboev (Loughborough).
The one day ergodic theory meeting we will include a research talk by
Mark Pollicott (Warwick)
The format/detailed schedule plus some social activities to be announced soon.
Registration is required for catering purposes (please send an e-mail
to W.Bahsoun en lboro.ac.uk to confirm your attendance) . There might be
a very limited financial support for local expenses for PhD students.
I will have a better picture in the next few weeks.
The school is supported partially by the Leverhulme Trust, while the
one day ergodic theory meeting is supported by LMS grant scheme 3.
Best wishes,
Wael Bahsoun and Brian Winn (local organisers)
