The St.Petersburg State University opens seven full-time positions of  
various level (see below)
for advanced teaching within the new Mathematics and Theoretical
Computer Science program. The Scientific Council of this program is headed

The program is very selective, admission is limited to 50 top students per
year, the first three enrollments (2015, 2016 and 2017) are first rate. In
particular, more winners of the all-Russian mathematical Olympiad joined our
program than any other such similar program in Russia.

The program is accomplished in close cooperation with Chebyshev  
Laboratory (http://chebyshev.spbu.ru/en/ <http://chebyshev.spbu.ru/en/>)

Applicants are expected to have a strong research record and to be able to
teach in Russian (teaching experience in English is an advantage). The
winners are expected to carry out research of high professional standard,
to teach up to 8 academic hours (= 6 astronomic hours) per week, as well as
to customary administrative duties such as advising students, participating in
committees, organizing admissions, etc.

Initial contract is normally signed for a period of up to five years, and
can be renewed by further 5 year terms. Applicants from outside St.
Petersburg will get one-time moving compensation.

1. Professor, salary level 194 736 RUB per month (1 Position)
2. Associate Professors (Docents), salary level 170 394 RUB per month  
(2 Positions)
3. Associate Professors (Docents), salary level 146 052 RUB per month  
(3 Positions)
4. Assistant Professor (Senior Teacher), salary level 121 710 RUB per  
month (1 Position)

The Chebyshev Laboratory at Saint Petersburg State University (SPbSU  
Russia) expects
to have 3-4 postdoctoral positions beginning in the fall semester of  
2018 (or earlier)
contingent on funding availability. We are looking for candidates with  
outstanding
research potential for a two+one-year post-doctoral appointment
with a salary starting at 83,500 RUR and reduced teaching.
Along with mathematicians working in areas of traditional interest in  
the Laboratory –
which include complex and real analysis, algebra, probability and  
mathematical physics –
we are also interested in building up in other areas, including
geometry/topology, dynamical systems, PDE etc.

One or two of these positions will be joint with
the new Laboratory of Modern Algebra and Applications of SPbSU headed  
by Dipendra Prasad.
