A school on
"Satellite Dynamics and Space Missions:
Theory and Applications of Celestial Mechanics"
FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT AND
OPENING OF THE REGISTRATION
**********************************************

The school "Satellite Dynamics and Space Missions: Theory and
Applications of Celestial Mechanics" will take place in San Martino al
Cimino (Viterbo, Italy) during the period August 28 - September 2,
2017.

The school will cover the following subjects:

- the theory and methods of Celestial Mechanics that underpin
   satellite dynamics and space mission design;

- the dynamics of space mission design;

- space exploration applications involving Astrodynamics.


REGISTRATION

The registration form can be filled starting from the meeting web site
   http://axp.mat.uniroma2.it/~celmec/formsdsm2017.html

Participants are kindly requested to register WITHIN 10 MARCH 2017.

Registrations will be accepted until all places are filled.

Hotel reservations (except for the invited spekares) must be done
*directly* to the Balletti Park Hotel by writing at info en balletti.com
with subject SDSM2017.  Double rooms cost 75.00 Euros per person and
single rooms cost 89.00 Euros per person; they include breakfast,
lunch and dinner. The prices are valid also for accompanying persons.

No registration fee is requested.

A limited number of fellowships giving partial support will be available.

MISCELLANY

As a related event, we have announced in a separate mail the
organization of the "CELMEC VII - The Seventh International Meeting on
Celestial Mechanics"; the meeting will take place in the same Hotel at
San Martino al Cimino (Viterbo, Italy) during the period 3-9 September
2017, i.e., the week AFTER that of SDSM2017. More information at:

SDSM2017 is organised under the patronage of the IAU Commissions A4 -  
Celestial Mechanics and Dynamical Astronomy and X2 - Solar System  
Ephemerides.

SDSM2017 is promoted by the Italian Society of Celestial Mechanics
and Astrodynamics - SIMCA.
