Call for Nominations

The third *Stephen Smale Prize* will be awarded at the next Conference on the
Foundations of Computational Mathematics (FoCM 2017) at Barcelona,  
between July
10th - 19th, 2017. The Prize is awarded by the Society for the Foundations of
Computational Mathematics to young researchers in recognition of major
achievements in furthering the understanding of the connections between
mathematics and computation, including the interfaces between pure and applied
mathematics, numerical analysis and computer science. More information and

Nominations should be sent to the FoCM secretary Angela Kunoth
( kunoth en math.uni-koeln.de < mailto:kunoth en math.uni-koeln.de >) as a single
pdf-file until *October 9th, 2016, 24:00 (GMT)*.
