   Acabei de receber, como provavelmente muitos de vocês, a mensagem anexada
da Elsevier sobre um prêmio para jovens mulheres atuando na matemática
e física nos países em desenvolvimento (Elsevier Foundation Awards for
Early-Career Women Scientists in the Developing World will be given
in the fields of physics and mathematics).
   Estou divulgando no forum para aqueles que não receberam a mensagem

fields of physics and mathematics

If you know a gifted and determined early career female mathematician or
physicist who deserves recognition and encouragement, and who has
demonstrated her commitment to enabling other women scientists to build
successful research careers, please fill in the Award Nomination form

October 17, 2014 and send it to info en owsd.net.

Five winning women scientists will receive:

   - A cash prize of USD5,000
   - All-expenses paid attendance at the annual meeting of the American
   Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), San Jose, California,
   USA
   - Access to Elsevier's ScienceDirect and Scopus journals
   - Free attendance and accommodation at the Abdus Salam International
   Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) one of ICTP's renowned workshops or
   conferences in Trieste, Italy
   - A year’s courtesy access to ScienceDirect and Scopus

*The nomination deadline is October 17, 2014*

The prizes are awarded annually, and rotate between disciplines
(physics/mathematics, medical/life sciences, chemistry), by The Elsevier
