Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to invite you to the workshop “*Probability in South America*”,
which will take place at the *Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, San
Joaquín Campus, from 13-15th January, 2027*.

The aim of the workshop is to gather and foster the interaction between
researchers in probability theory from the region and to attract students
to the field, by showcasing the broad spectrum of topics in probability
currently being researched in South America.

The event is open to all interested audiences, students, young researchers
and professors, both within Chile and abroad. The workshop is followed by a
summer school in probability (January 18-22) (at Centro de Modelamiento
Matemático, Universidad de Chile, also in Santiago) that will offer three
advanced courses (on a graduate level) by well-known researchers in the
area, complemented by research talks.

The event is open to all interested audiences. Advanced undergraduate and
graduate students, as well as young researchers, are particularly
encouraged to participate. Some financial support is available (priority
will be given for students, and, among them, for those attending both
events).

Deadline for registration for PISA is December 18, but deadline for
financial support is already December 1.

We look forward to your participation.

Sincerely,
Santiago Saglietti (on behalf of the organizing committee)
