This is the first announcement for the XVII Latin American Congress of
Probability and Mathematical Statistics (CLAPEM) that will take place from
March 2-6, 2026 in Montevideo, Uruguay.

*XVII CLAPEM*
*March 2–6, 2025 – Montevideo, Uruguay*

The *Latin American Congress of Probability and Mathematical Statistics
(CLAPEM)*, promoted by the *Latin American Society of Probability and
Mathematical Statistics (SLAPEM)* and the regional chapter of the *Bernoulli
Society*, is the most important event in these fields in the region. Since
its inception, CLAPEM has played a key role in the development and
promotion of probability and mathematical statistics in Latin America.

A preliminary version of the XVII CLAPEM program is now available,
featuring two short courses on current topics in probability and
statistics, plenary lectures, and invited thematic sessions.

The call for contributed thematic sessions, talks, and posters is currently
open.

The organization has a limited amount of funding available to support
participation in the congress. Priority will be given to applicants from
the region and to those at early stages of their academic development.

Este es el primer anuncio del XVII Congreso Latinoamericano de Probabilidad
y Estadística Matemática (CLAPEM), que se llevará a cabo del 2 al 6 de
marzo de 2026 en Montevideo, Uruguay.

El *Congreso Latinoamericano de Probabilidad y Estadística Matemática
(CLAPEM)*, promovido por la *Sociedad Latinoamericana de Probabilidad y
Estadística Matemática (SLAPEM)* y la filial regional de la *Sociedad
Bernoulli*, es el evento más importante en estas disciplinas en la región.
Desde su creación, ha sido un pilar fundamental en el desarrollo y la
promoción de la probabilidad y la estadística matemática en América Latina.

Ya está disponible una versión preliminar del programa del XVII CLAPEM, que
incluye dos cursos cortos sobre temáticas actuales en probabilidad y
estadística, conferencias plenarias y sesiones temáticas invitadas.

Se encuentra abierta la convocatoria para sesiones temáticas, charlas y
pósters.

La organización dispone de una cantidad limitada de fondos para apoyar la
participación en el congreso. Se dará prioridad a los solicitantes de la
región y a aquellos que se encuentren en etapas tempranas de su desarrollo
académico.
