Dear colleagues,

I hope this message finds you well.

>From July 29th to August 30th, 2024, IMPA will be hosting the Workshop on
Randomness and Learning on Networks

The idea is to bring together mathematicians, statisticians, computer
scientists and others with interests in the analysis of random models of
networks.

Week 1 of the event (July 29th - August 2nd) will consist of a regular
workshop with plenary talks (by Cindy Rush, David Gamarnik, Micklos Rácz,
and Luc Devroye) and minicourses (by Dieter Mitsche and Keith Levin).
Subsequent weeks will feature additional minicourses on statistics and
probability, as well as sparser talks and lots of collaborative work
sessions. The target audience for these activities includes PhD and
advanced MSc students in related fields, as well as postdocs and
researchers at various levels.

The event is open to all, but the number of participants will be limited.
Therefore, early registration is strongly encouraged. Participants can
apply for funding from the event, but it is advisable that they also look
for other sources of support, as our resources are fairly limited.
