Dear colleagues,

We would be pleased and grateful if you forwarded this information to
interested colleagues and students.

A short program on Geometry of Groups will be held in Uruguay in April
2016:

- First event: CIMPA School from March 31st through April 9th 2016

- Second event - Workshop on Geometry of Groups in Montevideo from April
11th through April 15th https://geometryandgroupsinmontevideo.wordpress.com/

The CIMPA school is titled 'Hyperbolic groups and their representations'
and will be held in Piriapolis/Uruguay. It consists on 5 mini-courses aimed
to graduate students and young researchers to be given by:

Juan Alonso & Juliana Xavier (Universidad de la República)
Martin Bridgeman (Boston College)
Fanny Kassel (Université Lille 1)
John Mackay (University of Bristol)
Maxime Wolff (Université Pierre et Marie Curie)

Please note that the deadline for registration for the CIMPA school is
December 13th.

The week following the school there will be a Workshop in Montevideo with
mini-courses by

Jean-Francois Quint (Université de Bordeaux)
Romain Tessera (Université Paris-Sud Orsay)
Karen Vogtmann (Warwick University)

and several lectures. The full list of speakers can be found in the events
website. The Scientific committee of the Workshop is

François Labourie (Université Nice Sophia-Antipolis)
Pierre Pansu (Université Paris-Sud Orsay)
Miguel Paternain (Universidad de la Republica)
Karen Vogtmann (Warwkick University).

We will give priority to applicants whose application is before January 1st
